• Bar Service Skills

This one-day course will cover many of the fundamentals that all good bar staff should know.

The course will cover:

• Legislation associated with the licence trade eg types of licences, trades description, permitted hours and rights of entry.
• What is alcohol and strengths of alcoholic drinks.
• Generic opening/closing procedures and bar service.
• Basic bar skills, clearing/polishing glasses, opening/serving wine.
• Cellar management, stock rotation, cleaning pipe lines, changing beer kegs and gas cylinders.
• COSHH and manual handling.
• Customer care and dealing with situations.
