A one-day certificated course recommended for all food-handlers.
The course covers the following topics:

- Food Borne Bacteria, Food Borne Diseases
- Contamination and Control of Bacterial Growth
- Storage and Control of Food
- Personal Hygiene
- Pest Control
- Design and Layout of Premises and Equipment
- Cleaning Procedures
- Legislation
This is a Generic Unit providing most of the underpinning knowledge for Level II Units 1G1 & 2G4 and some of the underpinning knowledge for Level III Unit 2G3.
A food hygiene test will take place at the end of the day.
