ServeWise courses are approved by Alcohol Focus Scotland, and provide employers with evidence of due diligence in relation to the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005.

The new Act will officially come into force at the beginning of February 2008, and fully in force by the end of the transition period on 1st September 2009. But the changes for the Act are already coming into effect and expected all staff that serve alcohol, and license holders who are responsible for staff to have undertaken recognised training.

The key thing is to act early!

Training yourself and your staff early will give you time to have everyone up to the required standard and to have the right systems in place.

Don't leave all your training until the last minute as booking places on courses may become more difficult and may affect your ability to get your new licence.
