• Individual Learning Accounts

Hospitality Training is an approved ILA Scotland provider. The majority of our courses qualify for an individual learning account.

ILA Scotland is a Scottish Executive scheme for anyone 18 or over who lives in Scotland. The amount of funding you receive will depend on how much you earn.

ILA Scotland will pay up to £200 a year towards your learning. How you choose to spend it is up to you - you might want to put it towards the cost of a single course or you can use it to help pay for several smaller courses throughout the year. ILA Scotland funds are available on a first come first served basis so it is a good idea to book your course, or courses, as soon as possible.

As part of the ILA Scotland scheme, everyone who has an account must make a minimum personal contribution of £10 when booking a course. The total amount you have to contribute will depend on the overall cost of the course.

ILA Scotland £200 Offer

If you earn £18,000 a year or less you can apply for an individual learning account that will give you up to £200 a year towards learning something new. There's a wide range of courses on offer and you can study with any approved ILA Scotland learning provider, including learning centres, local colleges, universities and private training companies.

Some learning providers may need to charge VAT on their courses and if so, you would have to pay VAT on your personal contribution. You should talk to your learning provider about this. Do please note that ILA Scotland funds are issued on a first come first served basis, so it is a good idea to book your course as soon as possible.

No matter which account you are eligible for, the money is not a loan - so you won't have to pay it back.
