Scottish Enterprise consists of Scottish Enterprise and 12 Local Enterprise Companies. Working in partnership with the private and public sectors, we aim to secure the long-term future of the Scottish economy by making our industries more competitive. We:
- help business start-ups and existing companies to grow;
- promote and encourage exporting
- attract inward investment ; and
- develop skills.
Three Scottish Enterprise National Learning Programmes are available from Hospitality Training.
Training for Work
Training for Work provides training support for people aged 25 or over who have been unemployed for some time and actively looking for work. The programme allows people to go on company placements and tap into formal training. In many cases, the trainees go on to land a full-time job.
Skillseekers
Skillseekers is a training programme for young people who want to develop skills and equip themselves for the world of work. It's open to people who have left school and have a job or who are looking for work. People aged between 16 and 18.
Modern Apprenticeships
Modern Apprenticeships offer people aged over 16 the chance of paid employment linked with the opportunity to train for jobs at craft, technician and management level. This website includes a range of material on how the apprenticeships work and how they can help you.
