• Grampian Chef of the Year 2008

We would like to offer our congratulations to our winners this year, and to our sponsors who kindly supported the event. We are now in the planning stages for the event in 2008, and would like to offer working chefs in Grampian the opportunity to demonstrate their culinary expertise in the prestigious Grampian Chef of the Year competition.

We are proud that Grampian's larder is one of the best in the world and to celebrate this we are asking chefs from Grampian to demonstrate the skills required in compiling and producing a menu utilising local produce.

Grampian Chef of the Year will take place at Aberdeen College on Monday the 26th of May 2008.

There are four categories:

1. Grampian Chef of the Year - open to working chefs aged 23 years and over. (£20 entry fee)
2. Grampian Contract Chef of the Year - open to working chefs based in a catering unit or private company dining facility, in the contract/educational sector. (£20 entry fee)
3. Grampian Young Chef of the Year - open to working chefs 22 years and under. (£20 entry fee)
4. Grampian Seafood Chef of the Year - open to anyone working in a restaurant or small hotel/catering establishment. (£15 entry fee)
