    As the General Manager of Hospitality Training, Karen is deeply passionate about supporting individuals and fostering the development of essential skills within the industry. With a strong commitment to empowering both current and future professionals, she works tirelessly to create meaningful training programs and opportunities for growth.

Her leadership ensures that every program is designed with the goal of nurturing talent and preparing individuals for success in a dynamic and evolving industry.

  • Gerard Rattray

    MODERN APPRENTICESHIP ASSESSOR / COURSE DELIVERY

    Gerard has held senior management roles, running businesses for well-known local employers. This experience has given him a strong understanding of business operations, industry challenges, and the importance of attention to detail in maintaining high service standards. Gerard is a qualified Modern Apprenticeship Assessor, with a proven track record of fostering growth and development of the next generation of industry professionals. He plays a key role in guiding and assessing apprentices, assisting them in acquiring the critical skills and qualifications necessary for success.  He is the key trainer in delivering Scottish Personal license qualifications in the region.

  • Audrey Kirkpatrick

    MODERN APPRENTICESHIP ASSESSOR / COURSE DELIVERY

    Audrey has an in-depth knowledge of all departments within the hotel and catering sector. With a strong background in  Rooms Management, and Front of House operations, Audrey has developed a well-rounded expertise that spans the core functions of hospitality. She is passionate about sharing her wealth of knowledge and delivers comprehensive training courses in food hygiene. Additionally, as a Modern Apprenticeship Assessor,Audrey plays a key role in guiding and assessing apprentices, ensuring they gain the necessary skills and qualifications to excel. Her commitment to her learners and their employers encourages higher achievement and retention rates.  

  • Carol Leith

    TRAINING DEVELOPMENT & FOUNDATION APPRENTICESHIP ASSESSOR

    An experienced professional with several years of expertise in business management and training. Having successfully run her own business, she has developed a deep understanding of what it takes to lead and inspire teams. Carol has held several key roles, including serving as the National Training Manager for a renowned pub chain with over 300 locations across the country. In this role, she was responsible for overseeing training strategies, fostering talent development, and enhancing the learning experience across the organisation. Carol is now leveraging her wealth of knowledge to contribute to the development of training content and the design and delivery of Foundation Apprenticeship programs. Her passion for education and training, combined with her extensive management experience, makes her an asset in shaping the future of training and development initiatives.

  • Davey Morrison

    FOUNDATION APPRENTICESHIP ASSESSOR

    Davey is a skilled chef with extensive experience in numerous catering operations & kitchens. Having worked across various establishments in Aberdeen, he brings his enthusiasm and knowledge to pupils in secondary schools across Aberdeenshire who are undertaking a Foundation Apprenticeship in Hospitality.  He is most passionate about sharing his experience  through practical cooking lessons, helping students develop their skills and nurturing future talent in the region.

    FOUNDATION & MODERN APPRENTICESHIP ASSESSOR

    Dave is a skilled chef having a long career in some of the North East's busiest kitchens.  He brings a deep understanding of the demands of a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. With a strong foundation in practical cookery, as a Modern Apprenticeship Assessor, David is passionate about sharing his expertise with the next generation of future chefs and hospitality leaders. He plays a key role in delivering the Foundation Apprenticeship in Hospitality, guiding students through hands-on learning and ensuring they develop the skills and expertise needed to succeed in their future careers.

    OFFICE MANAGER

    As our dedicated Office Manager, Natalie is excited to work closely with our members, customers, and suppliers to ensure smooth and efficient operations. With years of experience in administrative and bookkeeping roles, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our team. Her strong background makes her an invaluable asset as we continue to streamline our training services and optimise office systems. You can rest assured that you are in safe hands with Natalie, as she is committed to maximising efficiency and providing exceptional support across the board.
