Modern Apprenticeships

Modern Apprenticeships combine a qualification with on-the-job experience. This lets people work, learn and earn at the same time. We contribute towards the costs of their training, through a training provider who works with the business.

Why a Modern Apprenticeship?

Modern Apprenticeships can build valuable work experience from day one and gain an accredited qualification which is recognised by the industry. They’ll develop skills and expertise for their current and/or future jobs. Modern Apprenticeships are available at four different levels, some equivalent to a degree.

How much will it cost? 

If you are 16-19 years old, this will cost you NOTHING! Funding levels vary for apprentices depending on their age.

The benefits of doing a Modern Apprenticeship with us is you will be fully assessed in the workplace by one of our highly experienced assessors. We will provide you with support materials appropriate to your qualification. You will have the opportunity to attend FREE Hospitality Training Courses to support your qualification. We are the largest Hospitality Training Provider in the North East of Scotland, with a high success rate & proven track record of completion.

How do you achieve a Modern Apprenticeship? 

You complete a Diploma in Hospitality Team Member Level 5, Professional Cookery Level 5 or 6, or Hospitality Supervision & Leadership, level 7.

Complete Core skills in Communication, Numeracy, Problem Solving, Working with Others and Information Communication Technology whilst developing your meta skills needed for personal growth.  You will attend courses in our Modern apprenticeship programme alongside your workplace learning. You will be allocated your own assessor who will observe you in the workplace and manage your progress through the programme. On average 12 months to complete.

  • Diploma for Hospitality Team Member at SCQF Level 5

    10 units in total

    There are no entry qualification requirements for this apprenticeship, however it would be advisable to have been working with your employer for a minimum of 3 months

  • Diploma in Professional Cookery at SCQF level 5

    12 units in total

    There are no entry qualification requirements for this apprenticeship, however it would be advisable to have been working with your employer for a minimum of 3 months

  • Diploma in Professional Cookery at SCQF level 6

    12 units in total

    There are no entry qualification requirements for this apprenticeship, however it would be advisable to have been working with your employer for a minimum of 3 months and in a kitchen that allows you to produce complex level dishes

  • Hospitality, Supervision, and Leadership SCQF Level 7

    8 units in total

    There are no formal qualification requirements for this apprenticeship, however it would be advisable to have been working with your employer for a minimum of 3 months
