Are you preventing sexual harassment in the workplace?
As part of the Hospitality Training membership, our mission is to guide and support our members in staying compliant with legislation and adopting best practices across the industry.
We’ve recently received a number of enquiries regarding the change to the Equality Act 2010. In case you weren't aware from October 2024, all employers in Scotland are legally required to take proactive steps to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace — including harassment from customers, clients, or other third parties.
To help you meet this new requirement, we offer two online training modules: one designed for managers and one for staff. These modules provide essential due diligence in meeting the training obligations set out in the legislation.
This isn’t just best practice – it’s now a legal duty.
Employers will need to:
Review & Update Policies to ensure they’re compliant and comprehensive.
Implement Training so managers and employees understand what constitutes harassment and how to report it.
Conduct Risk Assessments to identify and mitigate potential issues.
Establish Clear Reporting Procedures that are confidential and accessible.
Address Workplace Culture to foster respect and inclusivity.
⚠️ Non-compliance could mean legal consequences – but early action can protect both your people and your organisation.
Special Training Offer – for the next month only
